Prof. Ranjan Das is a distinguished thought leader with an extraordinary blend of deep academic rigor and hands-on industry experience. He holds a PhD (Fellow) in Strategic Management from IIM Ahmedabad and a Master Degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Calcutta, reflecting a rare combination of strategic thinking and analytical depth.

                        20 years in senior industry leadership roles (General Manager at a multinational corporation & Managing Director of a joint-sector company in India)

                        31 years in teaching, research, training, and consulting
                    

Prof. Das served as a Professor of Strategic Management at IIM Calcutta for two decades and continues to be associated as a Visiting Professor. Over the years, he has also taught at and collaborated with institutions such as ISB Hyderabad, IIM Jammu, IIM Ranchi, IIM Trichy, XIM Bhubaneswar, HKUST (Hong Kong), and universities in Indonesia, contributing extensively to executive education and leadership development.

A pioneer of digitally delivered long-duration executive education in India, Prof. Das played a seminal role in shaping IIM Calcutta's early success in this space between 1999 and 2007. Building on this vision, he later emerged as an academic and social entrepreneur, creating innovative content and delivery ecosystems such as Smart Learning & Transformation Solution (SLTS) and establishing The Strategy Academy, India's first 100% live, two-way interactive digital capability-building platform.

An accomplished author, Prof. Das has written six books, along with numerous articles and case studies, and has presented his work at international conferences. He is also a hands-on inductive researcher, uniquely extending his research interests into the film and television industry, where he has produced feature films as part of his scholarly exploration.

Beyond academia, Prof. Das has served as an independent director on company boards and currently advises organizations in India and overseas on strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership—making his insights deeply relevant, practical, and immediately applicable for today's working professionals.
